    Hello to all,

a client asks me if it is possible to encrypt a centos hard disk with cpanel.

Is this thing feasible and is it useful?

    Is there a procedure?

    Thank you

    Hello @Marco Urbani,

This is something you'd configure as part of the Operating System. Here's a link to a CentOS page about how to encrypt the filesystem:

    HowTos/EncryptedFilesystem - CentOS Wiki

Note this is something you'd generally do before installing cPanel & WHM. You'd likely want to setup a new server, encrypt the disk to your preferences, install cPanel & WHM, and transfer the accounts over from the existing server using WHM >> Transfer Tool.

    Thank you.
