Hi :

We are problems with this error at WHM and Cpanel

I am reading all post and it seems the solution is change the pass for Mysql, but I think Mysql have the pass good

At ssh, working like root, "> mysql " give me this error

At ssh > mysql -uroot -pmypass work fine

It seems root can´t accees at mysql without pass and WHM and Cpanel give me the same error. Other servers let me go into mysql without passs

Any idea

Hi,

I am having the same problem here and have checked the .my.cnf is in the root folder.

Running the above command returns the below output :

4.0K -rwx------ 1 root root 38 Aug 15 22:38 /root/.my.cnf*

I have also tried updated the MYSQL password through WHM but there was error message during the update :

Waiting for mysql to restart.....030815 22:38:18 Can't start server: Bind on TCP/IP port: Address already in use
030815 22:38:18 Do you already have another mysqld server running on port: 3306 ?
