I am trying to compile PHP 4.3.1 with mhash, ran easyapache, selected the modules I needed, it compiled fine.

Downloaded and compiled mhash, no problem.

cd'd to the php-4.3.1 dir, configured with the previous modules, added --with-mhash

When doing make, I get this error:

/usr/src/build/90147-i386/BUILD/imap-2001a/c-client/osdep.c:286: the use of `tmpnam' is dangerous, better use `mkstemp'
    ext/mysql/libmysql/my_tempnam.lo: In function `my_tempnam':
/home/cpapachebuild/buildapache/php-4.3.1/ext/mysql/libmysql/my_tempnam.c:103: the use of `tempnam' is dangerous, better use `mkstemp'

Tried again, this time without --with-mhash, same error.

Anyone got a solution to this?

You received that at the very end of the make? Ignore it. It's a warning only and does not affect make install.

    Thanks Annette!!

make just ran for about 1 min, so I assumed it didn't finish, but it did, and 'make install' worked. :)

hi I have the same issue and make install crashes apache. I have to either recover from backup libphp4.so or run /scripts/easyapache
    :(
