Hi, this is my first day here. Hoping to learn lot of things here.

I need to setup webmail to Subdomain like this: mail.domain.com

But when I tried to create subdomain I got an error like this.

There was a problem creating the sub-domain:
(XID wmu6ju) A DNS entry for the domain “mail.domain.com” already exists.

"This domain I am trying to add is the second domain in my cpanel hosting account. I mean, I created a hosting account using one abcd.com and added another efgh.com to that account.

Now I want to create subdomain to efgh.com, and I got that error"

Thanks

Hello :)

Your access level is listed as "Website Owner", suggesting you do not have root access to the server. The "mail" CNAME entry is created by default, so you will need to delete the entry via the "Advanced Zone Editor" option in cPanel:

Advanced Zone Editor - Documentation - cPanel Documentation

Note that some hosting providers do not enable this feature, so you may need to ask your provider to delete this DNS entry on your behalf, to allow for the creation of the "mail" subdomain.

Thank you.
