Hi everyone,

I'm trying to install cPanel on a clean server (OVH). I've tried with Centos 7 and after several minutes it always gets with a error:

[2022-08-07 15:49:37 +0000] [10580] ( INFO): Waiting for ([1 background tasks], Apps that require deferred packages).
And the last line repeats until I press CTRL+C. (I've already reinstalled the system 4 times and it always hangs on the same part)

I tried to use the alternative mentioned here but without success.
SOLVED Error Installing cPanel on CloudLinux

NOTE: I'm not using CloudLinux, I'm using CentOS 7 (Kernel: Linux 3.10.0-1160.71.1.el7.x86_64).

I need urgent help

Hey there! I'm wondering if that specific CentOS 7 image is not up to date. Can you do the following?

-create your CentOS 7 server
-run a "yum update"
-configure the server as necessary for the cPanel installation
-install cPanel

Can you try that order of operations and see if that gets things working?

Hi cPRex!

Thanks for answering!
I did it exactly in that order.

I have a server at OVH I used their image from CentOs 7, when I entered the server via SSH I updated it using yum update and updated the hosts files to configure the hostname. After that I turned off and disabled Network Manager. Soon after I activated the network.service and used the command:

cd /home && curl -o latest -L https://securedownloads.cpanel.net/latest && sh latest --skip-cloudlinux

But still it keeps giving the same problem before finishing the installation.
