I am fairly new to all this stuff so please excuse my ignorance.
I was looking at the error log and noticed the whole log (300 lines) was filled with the following

[Wed Oct 18 14:32:08 2006] [error] [client 68.126.189.193] File does not exist: /home/mw/public_html/403.shtml

They were all the same client and was over only an 11 minute period.

What does this log mean?

Someone hitting a web page that doesn't exist. Then being sent to an error page that doesn't exist?
I create error pages and place them into skel directory so that when a new account is created it is setup with error pages (and default favicon) by default.
(and I add a note that they can edit these but should leave them.)
To prevent this type of error.

In cPanel you have an option for creating error pages.

Thanks for the advice about the error page.
300 times in eleven minutes seems a bit over the top. Wonder what they were looking for?
Maybe some robot is hunting for something.

I will create an error page and see what happens.
