Error: No record exists at line xy

Hello!

I would like to reroute my mails to google workspace (g-suite) but cannot delete the existing MX records for my domain. If I try to modify or delete the record in the Zone Editor I get an error: "No record exists at line 9 in the “(my domain)” DNS zone."

What can I do?

Hey there! Do you have root access to the server? Without root access there may not be a good way for you to check much in regards to this error.

There were some recent issues with the zone files on the system, but those should be taken care of if your machine is updated to the latest version. If not, seeing a plain text version of your zone file so you could view all of line 9 would be helpful, but that is something you would need root access to view, as the cPanel interface doesn't show any line numbers in relation to how the file itself is actually organized.
