error pages

    how do i customize the server's error pages? where do i go?

    If you mean the pages used by default for error pages, you can edit the httpd.conf file where it says:
    ErrorDocument 400 /400.shtml
    ErrorDocument 401 /401.shtml
    ErrorDocument 403 /403.shtml
    ErrorDocument 404 /404.shtml
    ErrorDocument 500 /500.shtml

    where do i edit the actual error pages? to change content/text?

    Isn't there a way to do this for the entire server in general?
