Error With Cpanel?whm News

Getting the following error:

Timeout while trying to fetch http://web.cpanel.net/whmnews/nph-index.cgi?version=6.0.0-STABLE_73...GIF89aÂÿÿÿÌÿÿ™™™333!þNThis art is in the public domain. Kevin Hughes, [email protected], September 1995!ù

This is whats showing within the news section, any ideas?

I just installed a firewall, does this run via a specific port?

Have you tried refreshing the page? I've had that once or twice and it could just be caused by overload on web.cpanel.net server. No problems with their news page though, it's working perfectly here.

Try clearing your whm cache.

rm -f /var/cpanel/objcache/*

No did not work. I also tried to refresh and the same happened? Is there a way to go back to a stable version 5 cos Im running the latest stable version 6.

Any help because it was working 100% before I installed a firewall.

What port does WHM news use?

On my server this usually happen when my server was unable to connect the whm news site may be apache, dns or some other problem.

Naaaa as soon as I turn off APF it works 100%. I noticed that the WHM news is a script ":2086/scripts2/whmnews"

Im wondering if it comes in on a diff port? but why is it blocking this news if its a script?
