I have heard that you can set up a catch all email addy in Cpanel but was also told that my host has to offer it.
Is there some way I can tell if it is offered> wan icon maybe?

I believe that cPanel's latest versions only offer to enable/disable catch-all address from WHM >> tweak settings and not cPanel, you may contact your host if you really want it enabled and check if they allow it. catch-all address is not recommended because of its vulnerability to spammers/dictionary attacks. Manually it can be set at server level in the file /etc/valiases/yourdomain.com but can only be done if you have root access.
