Establishing addon domain

I have tried every way I know how to establish an addon domain, but cannot seem to get the job done. What I am looking for is:
My primary domain: http://www.primarydomain,com
Addon domain: http://www.addondomain.com

No matter what I do, when I use the addon domain menu, and then type in my Addon domain:
http://addondomain.com it always comes up http://www.primarydomain.com.
My host has established one addon domain correctly for me, but the system leaves no trail for me to follow, and their tech dept takes a week or more to answer. I am in desparate need of help NOW.

Anyone . . . please?

You need to speak with your host, they have a configuration error.

I have had a request in for over a week now, and still no answer. My concern is that I'm not filling the form in correctly. One problem with the instructions seems to be that they do not show the result when the form is filled in.

In this area I have some questions.

Addon Domain Maintenance

New Domain Name: newdomain.com
Username/directory Name: newdom
Password xxxxxx

If I include a username in the above, I come up with a dirrerent directory structure than my host in the domain that was handled correctly..

Hint: this feature must be enabled for your account before you can use it.

Setup redirection This is another area that is not clear.
Remove redirection
remove addon Domain.

My host is undergoing a major growth, and answers are not forthcoming as quickly as they were before my signup.

No need to go further. My problem has been resolved. I appreciate everyone's help with this, and especially appreciate the fact that this forum exists.
