Every night at some point, /etc/exim.pl gets removed from my server. This causes large email problems with my sites. Can anyone help me to fix this problem? I have read other threads about the problem, but cannot find a solution.

    Thread with Same Problem

    I am running CentOS.

I'd suggest that you log a ticket through your cPanel license provider and have cPanel investigate it for you.

I think I figured out what was happening. Maybe someone can explain why?

Most of the files in /var/lib/rpm had the "i" attribute when running lsattr. I removed the "i" attribute, rebuild the RPM database (which worked this time), and then forced an update to exim and cPanel.

Can anyone tell me why these files had the i attribute?

Do you have the LES application from rfxnetworks installed? I think that or another from there does that for some unfathomable reason.

Yes; this is common problem with all recent versions of CPanel under CentOS operating system with exim. PM me if you need help.
