/etc/userdomains disappears! [and how to fix it]

    It started with getting a call from a client that he can't POP from his mail server... then things get more exciting as more and more people keep calling.

    Our tech supprot guys tried to help them resetting pwd in cPanel, and even as cPanel shows the resets were successful, they/we still can't login to mail. I jump to see /var/log/exim_mainlog and there are a lot of noise:

    ... failed to open /etc/userdomains for linear search: No such file or directory

    Can't find a clue here, but a visit to Ev1forum and ls /scripts/*userdom* shows that there're two little scripts:

    /scripts/updateuserdomains* /scripts/updateuserdomains2*

    running the first one fixes this situation, and everybody is now happy.

    Question is: how the hell did this happen? it can't just "vaporized"! :mad:
