I can not get these programs to receive mail. Do I need to forward the e-mail from cpanel? I am not sure if I have the setings correct in Eudora. I tried a couple of different things and they did not work. I have the SMTP Server as: cpdocs.com
I could n't get any of the webmail to work. I just keep going around in circles!
Can anyone advise me on this issue????
Thanks, Bev

the server would be something like mail.domainame.com and not just domainname.com when setting up in a mail client such as outlook, outlook express etc.

When you login via one of the webmail clients try using the full email address such as [email protected] and your password, rarther than just the mail username of bob and the password.

Not necessary at all. domain.com should work just fine as the incoming and outgoing mail servers in any mail client that that is trying to connect to smtp, pop, or imap on a standard cpanel server install. It would only fail to work if someone has customized it such that the mail server is on a different box than the sites and pointed the a record for mail.domain.com to that box so that the mail. is required.

Outlook settings

Most email applications only need the following information:

POP3/Incoming Mail Server = mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your domain).
SMTP/Outgoing Mail Server = Use the setting for the outgoing mail server provided by your ISP or mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your domain).
Account Name = Whole email address is your account name ( not what just appears before the ' @ ' symbol )
Password = password that you entered while adding the pop3 account from the control panel interface
POP3/Incoming port :
SMTP/Outgoing port :
Enable "My server requires authentication" option.

you can also auto configure the email account using cpanel>>mails>>manage mails>> in front of email id you will see auto configure
