Everything fails and no control panel

    Help!

    First ftp failed so I did a graveful reboot now the server does not respond and I have no cPanel

    cPanel Access Level:
    Root Administrator
    If you can't ping your server IP(s), then it's down "unless you've blocked ICMP using a firewall or so", so your best shot is to contact your Data Center to check what's going on.

    Hi, I could ping and get access via ssh but as a newbie I was lost :eek:

    However my data centre got it soted for me :)

    Here is what they did/advised me to do - you never know somebody might search this forum as I did and this might help ;-)

    After you rebooted the server, the firewall started like it should do, to protect the server. Simply login to the server via SSH and type: iptables --flush

    Anybody know of a good tutorial on ssh for complete newbies? I feel such a plonker now :confused:
