    Hi;

    As probably many others we have set a limit on the number of E-mails that can be sent per hour.
    Now we have one client who need to be excempt from this restriction.
    In an earlier post I found mention of this refering to editing the file in /var/cpanel/maxemailsperdomain.
    This folder is empty, problably a change in the structure.
    Does anybody know how to create this excemption. :confused:
    We are running WHM 11.30.5 on CentOS.

    Many thanks in advance!

    To change the limit for an account from WHM you can go to WHM -> Account Functions -> Modify an Account. Select the account that you want to add the exception on and enter a new value under "Hourly Email by Domain Relayed".

    To change the limit for an account from SSH you can edit the file
    Code:
    /var/cpanel/users/USERNAME
    Replacing USERNAME with the actual account name that you want to add an exception on.

    Inside that file you can edit (or add, if it doesn't exist) the line "MAX_EMAIL_PER_HOUR=" such as:

    Code:
    MAX_EMAIL_PER_HOUR=300
    After saving the file, you will need to run the following command

    Code:
    /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/update_email_limits USERNAME
    Again, replacing USERNAME with the actual account name that you want to add the exception on.

    I hope that helps :)

    How does this affect an account, with Addon Domains?

    Say for example, Addondomain1.com is part of maindomian.com, and I want to limit addondomain1.com's mails to 200/hour, but still have maindomain.com on 500/hour.
