    Hi All,

Hopefully someone else on the forums has had this problem and can provide some wisdon, or if not at least point me in the direction of finding that answer myself.

I have an account on the server which had excessive bandwidth over a 2 week period. The server is running phpsuexec, all permissions are set correctly, and everything seems fine - there are only some simple php scripts, no email. In cpanel, it shows the bandwidth as attributed to pop3 (first 3 days are what is usually looks like):

Day All HTTP SMTP FTP Pop3
    15 2.70 2.70 0.00 0.00 0.00
    16 3.91 3.91 0.00 0.00 0.00
    17 0.93 0.93 0.00 0.00 0.00
    18 65.40 0.81 0.00 0.00 64.60
    19 7.17 4.69 0.00 0.00 2.48
    20 15.19 2.62 0.00 0.03 12.54
    21 83.71 1.91 0.00 0.00 81.81
    22 71.90 2.36 0.00 0.00 69.53
    23 113.93 1.13 0.00 0.00 112.80
    24 134.94 0.20 0.00 0.00 134.74
    25 121.74 0.00 0.00 0.00 121.74
    26 113.51 3.57 0.01 0.11 109.83
    27 260.05 2.72 0.00 0.04 257.30
    28 79.69 3.19 0.00 0.00 76.50
    29 177.92 3.73 0.00 0.06 174.14
    30 183.16 2.67 0.00 0.00 180.49
    31 474.88 0.26 0.00 0.00 474.62

    And in bandmin it shows:

    Day Gigs Megs
    15 0.003014 3
    16 0.004249 4
    17 0.013751 14
    18 0.084832 87
    19 0.007796 8
    20 0.021593 22
    21 0.104754 107
    22 0.081913 84
    23 0.128213 131
    24 0.148292 152
    25 0.136883 140
    26 0.136095 139
    27 0.296506 304
    28 0.091255 93
    29 0.201495 206
    30 0.204072 209
    31 0.526735 539

And one day in bandmin shows:

    all

Transfer in gig Transfer in meg

Can anybody help explain what is showing up in pop3 traffic in cpanel and in tcp (non port 80, 25, or 110)? Thanks so much for your help - it is only a problem with one account, but i'm afriad some sort of backdoor is open on my server.

Same problem; lazy fix was to mv the entries present on /var/cpanel/bwlimited off, and also from /var/cpanel/bandwidth :( .
