Exclude logs and bandwidth data from backup during Live Transfer?

Is it possible to exclude bandwidth data and access logs from the backup process when running the Live Transfer to move accounts to a new server? They aren't needed in our case so it will only slow down the backup and restore process since we have hundreds of accounts to move.

Hey there! There is an option to uncheck the Bandwidth Data in the Transfer Tool interface under the dropdown for each account:



You can then use the "Apply to other selected accounts" option on the right so you don't have to individually choose that for all the accounts you plan to transfer.

I don't have anything for access_logs at this time. Would you like me to submit a feature request for that for you?

Thanks -- I'll be sure to use that setting to skip the backing up of bandwidth data as you mentioned.

Hey, I don't suppose the individual hosted accounts' access log files are all stored under a single folder (above /home), such that I could easily remove them all prior to the transfer...? Although just typing that sounds like it would break something even if they were.

Actually they are - if you check /home/username/access_log you'll see they are actually a link to the /usr/local/apache directory:

lrwxrwxrwx. 1 username username 34 Dec 18 2018 access-logs -> /usr/local/apache/domlogs/username

I'm not sure what errors you'd get with the machine if you temporarily moved those out of the way for a transfer, though, both from Apache and from the Transfer Tool.
