Exesivos registros en acces_log

    Estimados,
    Desde hace un timpo en mi servidor estan apareciendo demasiados registros en acces_log todos como se muestra :

    el servidor funciona bien, pero creo que no es sano estar escribiendo innecesariamente cada 1 segundo el archivo acces_log :-S
    AL parecer esto comenzo luego de pasar a Apache 2.2 con PHP5.. segun he averiguado es por estar habilitado el "PreFork MPM"
    ¿existe alguna forma de modificar la configuracion de apache para que esos eventos no queden en el acces_log?..
