    this is a unique proposition.
customer owns DOMAIN.COM and signs-up for an account.

    he creates

    tom@domain.com
    bob@domain.com
    tim@domain.com

he now wants to know the setting that he can deploy such that

tom, bob and tim can send email ONLY to each other and no one else

MEANING -> tom@domain.com can send emails to bob@domain.com or tim@domain.com BUT CANNOT send email to xx@hotmail.com nor xxx@yah..com

all Tom, Bob and Tim can only receive email from each other and cannot receive any emails from anyone external.

Is there a way I could play around with the email filters to achieve this? REGEX settings? Please advise. Thanks.

    Go on, have a guess
I should think that there's a simple enough solution in doing that within exim. I'd suggest asking over on the exim mailing list.
