exim and server host name question

    Can we have host name as domain.com instead of sub.domain.com ?

    I don't think so

    Everything I have read on this subject which is not everything, says no. Or alteast all examples and documentation says it has to be a hostname.yourdomain.tld

    No, you may not, ESPECIALLY not with cpanel
    Not only does this potentially (if not definitely) break CPanel, but it will violate RFC's.
    If you can't think of a servername, just use server.domain.com
