    You could try deleting that sendmail binary and then doing an eximup --force and see if that helps.

    It's vaguely possible that you can get some information from running:

    strace /usr/sbin/sendmail

    Looks to me like it may be having trouble accessing the /etc/exim.* files as the next operation after the segfault is to open /etc/exim.conf. Check the ownership and permissions on /etc/exim.conf which should read:

    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 31580 Oct 7 10:21 /etc/exim.conf

    At this stage, I'd log a ticket to have it investigated. Sorry that I couldn't help more.

    Did you ever get this fixed? I have a new install on FC4 and am seeing the exact same error...

    Edit: Just tried the rm -f /etc/eximmailtrap and that seems to have fixed it for me...

    exim - sendmail fault error

    I just wanted to add, I experienced the same issue only when spamassasin was enabled. I used the command "rm -f /etc/eximmailtrap" and it resolved the issue as well.

    thanks much,

    JS

    Spam assassin

    I had the same problem. Does anyone know of a way to prevent this problem so I dont have to keep watching for it to break again, or so I dont have to issue the command of:

    rm -f /etc/eximmailtrap

    Again?

    thanks.

    Edit /var/cpanel/cpanel.config and set:

    eximmailtrap=0
