    hello,

I'm really wondering if the antivirus of my mailserver is running... I do nowhere see a flag where to turn it on or off (something I can with spamasassin).

    what am I missing?

    thanks indeed!

tail /var/log/amavis/amavis.log will show you if Amavis is doing its job...

Well in the cpanel skin I'm using there's a "Server Status" option and then there's one in WHM under Server Status.

All that I'm saying is that's what it says, not that it means anything if the above
is meant to show it's real status.

Not me. I have an external license. Not sure if the distributor did or not.

Networkologist, looks like we are in the same situation. I've already asked but nobody is able to tell me if the box was installed with or without antivirus.

Could somebody please tell us how to find out if we have?

exim+virusscan.tar.gz is an add on package for Cpanel. If you haven't installed it then you don't have true Anti-Virus scanning. What comes with Cpanel by default just blocks certain email attachments.
