Exim Callout change

I want to change the default Exim callout time from 30s to 60s, one of more important CC processors does not respond within 30s. What do I need to code in the first text box to make this change tatke effect (permenantly) it is a little unclear on how the first text box in the config editor overrides the other directives.

change callout to
callout=60s

Look for require verify = sender (if you use the advanced config editor, you'll find in the middle of the second 'group' of boxes.)

Replace it with something like require verify = sender/callout=60s

It might be simpler to create a sender verify whitelist, as you don't want to keep a connection open and waiting too long. There is an easy to follow thread on how to create the whitelist:
