2006-08-07 13:45:18 H=(jazz.certapay.com) [216.220.45.139] F=<notify@payments.certapay.com> temporarily rejected RCPT <****@****.com>: Could not complete sender verify callout.

the solution for this is to turn off the callout option in exim editor...
    is there any other solutions?

    Go on, have a guess
Tell the sender to fix their email server is the only alternative.

you can use a sender verify whitelist.

It will be almost impossilbe to teach all the ignorants to fix their serves, so you can add a whitelist for senders.

    Look at this thread

    Hope that it helps

And if the originating server is one of our own? I would think Exim could handle callouts correctly.

Then make sure you have a valid mailbox or forwarder for notify@payments.certapay.com

Are you saying this is your site?? As this is the very email one of my clients is having problems with, they have complained to me that they are not receiving notifications of payment transfers.

This has been the only issue so far but in the end I've had to disable callouts which has resulted in more spam then usual.

I'm currently trying to implement the white list option but having a few issues with it.

I have the same problem on my own servers.

I have "Use callouts to verify the existence of email senders." enabled on all of my servers, its only few days back I noticed that emails across my own servers are being rejected because of this.

That means none of my client can send me mails nor can I send them.

Why my servers are unable to complete verification.?
So where and how can I fix this problem (I want to keep callouts enabled)?
