    What's up with the new /scripts/exim4 overwriting your exim.conf even when you chattr it? Good thing we keep local backups. Also, it overwrites the /usr/sbin/sendmail when we use a custom application there to help block spam.

    Any ideas on how to stop this?

    This is the first time my exim.conf and /usr/sbin/sendmail have been overwritten. We keep the with a chattr -i to prevent this issue.

    The exim4 script does the following;

    chattr -i /etc/rc.d/init.d/exim 2>/dev/null
    chattr -i /etc/exim.conf 2>/dev/null
    chattr -i /etc/exim.pl 2>/dev/null
    chattr -i /usr/sbin/sendmail 2>/dev/null
    chattr -i /usr/lib/sendmail 2>/dev/null

    Your only course of action is to change the exim4 script and chattr it.

    Actually upcp doesn'y unchattr anything it only calls other scripts that unchattr things.
