routing defer (-51): retry time not reached

Every email coming into the server is producing this error. No mail is being delivered.

    Any ideas ?

Edit... manually trying to deliver a message in the queue comes up with...

    LOG: MAIN
== emaill@domain.com R=temp_defer defer (-1): Mail Server Upgrade in Progress. Message Queued.

There is no upgrade in progress.

Did you initiate any conversion from or to maildir? The system will queue email messages until the conversion is completed. If you didn't initiate any thing, then you need to kill that process using kill -9 PID command. Just in case you killed that process, make sure that your email server is up and running.

for those of you who don't know, you can list processes with ps -l
