Exim failed after Mailscanner installed

After installing mailscanner-autoinstall-1.5.tar.gz (Sat Aug 2 21:53:19 2003), my Exim status in WHM is always RED eventhough Exim is running fine. How can I solve this?

Hello, try editing the file '/etc/chkserv.d/exim', change the value '220' for '554'.

Maybe your mail server is not answering wit the usual 220 greeting, the 554 is a more 'rude' greeting but it is usually used by some SMTP.

You could also try telnet'ing into the server and finding out what the greeting :)

Appreciate both your suggestions but changing to 554 greeting is never a good idea.

Like I originally asked, telnet into it, what greeting are you getting? :)
