    I have the same issue - started shortly after cPanel updates arrived.

    I now get frequent notifications from monitoring that SMTP is down.

    Any ideas?

    acl

    I uncommented the following line from exim.conf and everything seems to be working again:

    acl_smtp_connect = acl_connect

    Hope this helps

    acl

    Im not sure that uncommenting it is the FIX, but it's allowing our customers to start working again.

    I'll post once i've figured out the issue.

    I wonder what is causing this. Can't quite think at 3:23 AM...

    Isn't it wonderful to be up at 4am to fix a cpanel update. LOL
    I have looked and my acl_smtp_connect = acl_connect line in exim.conf is already uncommented. I am trying the update from 11.15.0-C18151 to release to see if that fixes it.

    /etc/exim.conf

    Edit /etc/exim.conf manually and uncomment that line

    Updating from WHM 11.11.0 cPanel 11.15.0-C18151 to WHM 11.11.0 cPanel 11.15.0-R18033 seems to have fixed the problem. I have also changed my update config from auto to manual. This is the second time within a month that an auto-update from cPanel has broken exim.
    :mad:

    Now I can get a little more sleep.
