exim failed @ Sat Feb 27 13:34:48 2010. A restart was attempted automagically.
    Service Check Method: [tcp connect]

Failure Reason: Timeout while trying to connect to service

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After restarting the exim mail server I keep receiving the above error

How may I resolve this issue?

    Thanks

You need to check your log to see why it is failing. It should list it in :

    /var/log/messages

    Hi ChrisRHS

Checked the log file, nothing as to why exim is failing.

When I restart exim in WHM this is what I receive:
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Waiting for exim to restart..............finished.

exim (/usr/sbin/exim -bd -q60m) running as mailnull with PID 24488

exim has failed, please contact the sysadmin.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also tried --force and still have the error.

    Thanks

    Hi ChrisRHS

    Found the error.

When I went back to check the log files I was also having problems with another issue.
I am using ConfigServer Security and Firewall. I increased the PT_USERMEM to 105 in the configuration file and cleared both issues.

I will add them to the csf.pignore file.

    Thanks again.
