2003-07-25 15:36:24 fixed_plain authenticator failed for (user ip) : 535 Incorrect authentication data

Since exim 4 users have to turn on SMTP verification when they want to relay but when turned on we get this error and the email is sent just as easily. Secure?

    What is wrong here?

I can't believe this only happens on our servers. :(

I've got just one customer on one server getting this error.

When my customers receive the fixed_plain authenticator error message the mail is NOT sent, it sits in their outbox.
