exim giving a retry time exceeded immediatly?

    Exim is immediatly returning a retry timeout exceeded, instead of waiting and trying again.
    Any idea why this is happening?

    I have the same problem - my thread is:

    I found out that there may be something wrong with hints database
    running:
    # exinext address@domain.com

    Route: address@domain.com:<from@domain.com> error -44: SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<address@domain.com>: host mx5.go2.pl [193.17.41.45]: 450 Please try later
    first failed: 20-Nov-2007 12:53:20
    last tried: 29-Nov-2007 15:55:55
    next try at: 29-Nov-2007 23:55:55
    past final cutoff time

    As you can see it sees NEW email as first failed 9 days before - probably same email but database was not cleaned after the message was delivered or finally failed before.

    Im now looking into exim_tidydb and i notified cp support of this problem.
