Exim has stopped trying to send email!

I'm testing my server's configuration at the moment, by disabling port 25 on my local router and sending 10 emails via the server, addressed to my domain which should forward email to my Exchange server and, if the mail fails, store the email on my WHM box as a backup.

I've sent the 10 emails and re-enabled port 25. According to the logs, Exim pushed 3 emails, one every second, then stopped! Now, after sending another 5 emails with port 25 disabled, and now re-enabled, Exim refuses to push anymore! All 12 emails are now queued, doing nothing!

Any idea why this is happening?
