    My version of cpanel is 9.3.0-R5
    My version of WHM is 9.2.0

    I recently deleted an addon domain (millat.com) from a customer's website. I created a new account for that domain. What happened as a result is, that it deleted the zone file (millat.com.db) for that domain (millat.com). I then created a new zone file through WHM for it.

    My zone file for millat.com is as follows;

    root@ameer [/var/named]# cat millat.com.db
    ; cPanel 9.2.0
    ; Zone file for millat.com
    $TTL 14400
    @ IN SOA ns3.ameersoft.com. haris.ameersoft.com. (
    2004063001 ; serial, todays date+todays
    14400 ; refresh, seconds
    7200 ; retry, seconds
    3600000 ; expire, seconds
    86400 ) ; minimum, seconds
    ;
    IN NS ns3.ameersoft.com.
    IN NS ns4.ameersoft.com.
    ;
    millat.com. IN A 67.18.34.170
    ;
    millat.com. IN MX 10 mail.millat.com.
    ;
    mail IN CNAME millat.com.
    www IN CNAME millat.com.
    ftp IN A 67.18.34.170

    ----------------------------------------------------------

    I have now created two email ID's on this account, which are as follows;

    ghalib@millat.com
    editor@millat.com

    I sent mails to these accounts and I'm getting the following error messages in the /var/log/exim_mainlog;

    Can someone tell me what is going wrong?

    Go on, have a guess
    Not sure if this is the problem, but your MX record ought to point to an A record entry, not a CNAME. So, change:

    millat.com. IN MX 10 mail.millat.com.

    to:

    millat.com. IN MX 10 millat.com.

    You'll then of course have to wait for it to propogate, unless the server usese itself for DNS lookups. Another thing to check is that the domain millat.com exists in /etc/localdomains and that it has a valiases file in /etc/valiases/millat.com

    That was not it

    I deleted the account. Re-created it and then re-created the email IDs. Now, everything is working fine, without looking into /etc/localdomains or /etc/valiases/millat.com

    I guess cpanel did it itself. But that tells its Addon domain removal part is buggy in my version.

    So, is the mailing list creater.

    I have a domain xyz, I try to create a mailing list, it gives me a confirmation page that its been created, but doesn't create the mailing list. When I go to the page listing the mailing lists for this domain, it says, no active mailling lists for this domain.
