Exim mail delivery slow,

To elaborate , main shared IP is blacklisted and assigned a new IP to Exim mail server
Now ,the mails are delivered very slowly
What could be the reason ,
1.Will exim automatically update the SPF record for the New IP or we need to assign it separately under DNS Functions > edit DNS

2. Does the SPF record still remains with Main IP (blacklisted)

Please let me know how this can resolved

Hello,

Did the IP get blacklisted due to spamming from your server. So make sure there is a no email flood in queue. Run "exim -bpc" as root and see how many mails reiside in the queue. If the count shows a big number, that should be the primary issue and you should have to clear the spam / bounce / frozen emails from qeue. Find some useful exim commands at Exim Cheatsheet

Exim will not change ANY dns records if we change the mail interface IP; we have to do the necessary changes manually!
