    Hello,

    I am attempting to have exim use another IP address located on my server however it refuses to and keeps using the primary IP address. I followed the instructions listed in another post (http://forums.cpanel.net/showpost.php?p=181360&postcount=15) and checked exim.conf for the changes and they are there. I also tried just modifying
    remote_smtp:
    driver = smtp
    interface = xx.xx.xx.xxx

    Exim restarts with no errors but it still uses the old IP address according to the mail headers.

    If you have any ideas, please let me know.
    Thank you!

    I got it to work however the changes will be overwritten by cpanel every time it updates. Here is what my exim config now looks like.

    Code:
    my_remote_smtp:
    driver = smtp
    interface = xx.xx.xx.xxx

    remote_smtp:
      driver = smtp
      interface = xx.xx.xx.xxx
    dk_remote_smtp:
      driver = smtp
      interface = xx.xx.xx.xxx
      dk_private_key = "/var/cpanel/domain_keys/private/${dk_domain}"
      dk_selector = default

    Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can stop it from being overwritten?

    Thanks!

    Edit it using WHM / Exim Configration Editor. Then when you save the changes they will not be overwritten.

    I did use the WHM config to set it up however, since the exim config says the following once edited in WHM
    Code:
    my_remote_smtp:
    driver = smtp
    interface = xx.xx.xx.xxx

    remote_smtp:
      driver = smtp

    dk_remote_smtp:
      driver = smtp
      dk_private_key = "/var/cpanel/domain_keys/private/${dk_domain}"
      dk_selector = default
    That doesn't work but the following does
    Code:
    my_remote_smtp:
    driver = smtp
    interface = xx.xx.xx.xxx

    remote_smtp:
      driver = smtp

    dk_remote_smtp:
      driver = smtp
      interface = xx.xx.xx.xxx
      dk_private_key = "/var/cpanel/domain_keys/private/${dk_domain}"
      dk_selector = default
    I narrowed it down and since I am using domain keys, I need to place interface = xx.xx.xx.xxx in the dk_remote_smtp: section. Can I add that in WHM?
