Exim personal configs

    Hello,

    I know that I can set some configs using WHM. But how can I set personal configs and avoid cPanel to overwrite them to the defaults? There is a place where cPanel read the default values to "rebuild" exim.conf after an update (like the last 4.68 version)?

    That's why I prefer lower values to mail queue, bounces, and other configs, like:

    ignore_bounce_errors_after = 3h
    timeout_frozen_after = 1d
    auto_thaw = 3d

    smtp_banner = "${primary_hostname} ESMTP - ${tod_full} \n\
    (I dont like to expose the sw version number)

    message_size_limit = 25M
    return_size_limit = 10K
    delay_warning = 1h:4h:24h
    smtp_ratelimit_rcpt = 12,0.7s,1.05,58s

    etc... but everytime I need to manually change them.

    Help? Thank you a lot.

    Custom configurations should be handled through the Exim Configuration Editor in WHM (click the button for advanced configuration). Changes made here will not be overwritten by cPanel/WHM updates.

    Hi Yah David,

    We add some custom acl's in to the WHM editor & they always get overwritten & we have to manually add them again. We run the latest current with auto updates.

    The first box & the 2nd box always stay the same that never changes but anything added to the 3rd after :-

    [% ACL_RATELIMIT_BLOCK %]

    accept hosts = :

    #!!# Custom Additions

    we received the standard mailconfig update email, it states reset default acl's, because we have a custom config, then add manually again. After doing the reset the custom additiona in the 3rd box automatically gets wiped.
