Hi all,
We have a client that is having a very weird problem. i am stuck as to what to do. Here is whats happening. They use pop3s + esmtp (both secure protocols). Now as of tonite they have not been able to send mail off the server. Local emails work fine, but to send to domains on other servers dont work.
here is what is in the logs when they try to send emails:
2003-07-09 12:02:58 refused relay (host) to <[email protected]> from <[email protected]> H=xxxxxx.xxxxxxxx.xxxxx.net ([192.168.1.20]) [a.b.c.d]
But i also noticed in the mail log, that when they authenticate, it shows them as logging in as localhost? not their external ip. This being said, their ip is not going into /etc/relayhosts.
Has anyone come across this problem or know anything i could try to fix this up?
i have made sure they have logged into their mail to download it before they try and send email, but still no go. I am all out of ideas at the moment.
Any help would be appreciated.
TIA.
