    Hello All,

    Exim has been screwing up my server since WHM 6.0 came up and now i am on WHM 6.2.0. I am on a Stable Tree.

    I am on the latest stable tree
    WHM 6.2.0
    Cpanel 6.4.0-S3
    RedHat 7.3

    I have tried everything for solving this problem but Failed.

    1. The "twek settings didn't work for me"

    2. The suexec "enable" "disable" didn't work.

    3. I have tried everyscript regarding the mail problem. even /scripts/newexim didn't help.

    (It says newexim will install the latest version of exim_101 ??? i have exim-3.36_201 i suppose when i upgraded my server again yesterday)

    4. /scripts/fixvaliases - didn't work.

    Here is what my error log says when i try to send mail using a mai() function or sendmail from the browser or from the prompt.

    unknown local-part "fail" in domain "c3.combuzz.org"
    host mail.uni71e.com [64.119.213.4]: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)
    nobody@c3.combuzz.org T=local_delivery defer (13): Permission denied: failed to create directories for //mail: Permission denied
    ** sysadmin@combuzz.com R=lookuphost T=remote_smtp: SMTP error from remote mailer after RCPT TO:<sysadmin@combuzz.com>: host combuzz.com [216.180.242.171]: 550 cannot route to sender address <nobody@c3.combuzz.org>
    2003-04-16 02:05:00 195g2s-0002r3-00 <= root@c3.combuzz.org U=root P=local S=543
    2003-04-16 02:05:00 195g2s-0002r3-00 == root@c3.combuzz.org T=local_delivery defer (13): Permission denied: failed to chdir to /root
    2003-04-16 03:26:28 195hJi-00052T-00 == nobody@c3.combuzz.org T=local_delivery defer (13): Permission denied: failed to create directories for //mail: Permission denied

    Why i have these error ??? Will any thing solve this ????

    Should i try PHPSuexec. Only that remains now!!!

    Any help would be appreaciated.

    Regards,
    :( :eek: :rolleyes: :mad: :eek: :confused:

    Now here's a question for you: Have you previously setup an eMail account for that Sub-domain - c3.combuzz.org? The fact that 'c3.combuzz.org' doesn't resolve, is also a problem

    If you haven't then no wonder it doesn't work. And in WHM > Tweak Settings, make sure "sending to Nobody" is not turned on -- until phpsuexec is installed.

    It sounds like the problems are with your settings (or lack of) rather than your Server?

    Did you have to change something in your script to be able to send mail to Yahoo! and Hotmail? I have the same problem (no being able to send mail with php mail() function) and I tried everything on this forum with no success... Anybody have an idea?

    exim.conf

    I had a similar problem. I had to comment a line in /etc/exim.conf. it was the "sender_verify = true" line and then restarted Exim. It worked fine after that.

    # primary_hostname =
    deliver_queue_load_max = 3
    #sender_verify = true
    headers_sender_verify = true
    auto_thaw = 1h
    prohibition_message = "${lookup{$prohibition_reason}lsearch\
    {/etc/eximrejects}{${expand:$value}}}"

    If you are sending from one Cpanel server to another you will have to do that on both of them. Just a thought....

    Didn't work for me too :(

    Hello,

    I changed the following from the exim.conf :

    qualify_domain = myvaliddomain.com

    #never_user = root

    sender_verify = true

    The error that was logged in my exim_mainlog was removed but the mails are still no reaching.

    Everything works Great from Outlook no Error at all. then why scripts are failing to send mails ????

    Regards,
    :confused:
