    Hi,

Some time back, I screwed up exim on my server.
Then I tried one of the scripts (exim4-rh73test or exim4, forgot which one) and it worked fine again.
This added the exiscan-acl extensions too, which is what I wanted to do in the first place.

However, cPanel server status shows exim as failed:

    exim (exim-4.34-0_cpanel_stmpcontrol_antivirus_rewrite_mailman2_mailtrap_exiscan) Failed

Mails are all going through fine, though.
    Should I be worried ?

    Thanks in advance.

I believe .. any failure in our system is our failure..
It is an exim database connectivity problem. Get the password from /var/cpanel/eximstatspass and update it by logging into the mysql as root and updating it for the eximstats database.

    Restart exim

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.
I did what you mentioned - Got the password in /var/cpanel/eximstatspass, changed the eximstats mySQL DB password to that and restarted exim.
    However, it's still showing failed.

    Thanks,
    Ankur

    Exim Fail Problem

Iam getting a ton of emails saying exim has failed and a automatic restart was attempted.

Mail seems to be working, I have read some post and i checked /var/cpanel/eximstatspass and changed the password in the database.

I also then ran service chkservd restart and still show faild.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks
