Hello,

I have cpanel installed on a VPS, and i am getting the following error sent to me by email:

/etc/cron.hourly/exim_deny.pl:

/etc/cron.hourly/exim_deny.pl: line 1: !DOCTYPE: No such file or directory
/etc/cron.hourly/exim_deny.pl: line 2: syntax error near unexpected token `newline'
/etc/cron.hourly/exim_deny.pl: line 2: `"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">'

What does this mean?

That script is part of Chirpys MailScanner system. Submit a support ticket over at configserver.com and they can help you with this.

The script is copyrighted so I can not post it here for you.

I know this is a very old post but, did you ever find the answer to this?

Thanks

I just saw that in another thread, and if memory serves, they'd decided it was a corrupt file... that it looked like it had been opened in an editor that messed up the wrapping and such...

I'd bet if you search for it, it should pop up pretty easily...
