    My server was auto upgraded to this latest current last night:

    Code:
    WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.1-C60
    CentOS 4.2 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0
    Looks like after the update eximstats is failing to connect to MySQL. Here is the error:

    Code:
    root@lawndart [/home/eger]# /scripts/restartsrv_eximstats
    DBI connect('eximstats:localhost','eximstats',...) failed: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client at /usr/local/cpanel/bin/eximstats line 264
    Can't Connect at /usr/local/cpanel/bin/eximstats line 267.
    Was something updated in the MySQL client library recently that maybe perl DBI also needs an update for?

    Wondering if anyone else is seeing this. I'll continue looking for update to the perl DBI and try reinstalling MySQL again.

    Thanks!

    from the command line as root run
    Code:
    /scripts/perlinstaller DBI
    That should fix it for you

    Try and force it:

    /scripts/perlinstaller --force DBI

    That issue should have nothing to do with email.

    Also just tried that. Installs fine. But same error. I know the relaying denied is a seperate problem unrelated to the MySQL client library.

    In that case you could try:

    /scripts/perlinstaller --force DBD::mysql

    Connect your server with ssh login root
    than enter this commands

    1.) /scripts/realperlinstaller --force DBD::mysql
    2.) /scripts/restartsrv_eximstats
    3.) /etc/init.d/chkservd restart

    ;)

    Thanks guys! I didn't even try the DBD:mysql. Looks like that was the problem. Maybe forcing it to reinstall makes it use the latest library installed by mysql?
