My SSL certificate- going by what the browser tells me -expired in 2007. I hoped it would be easy enough to solve, and did the following:

    1) Generate a SSL Certificate and Signing Request
    2) Install a SSL Certificate and Setup the Domain
    3) Manage SSL Hosts, made the certificate a shared one.

But after doing this, then restarting cpanel and apache, I still found that accessing cpanel via https/secure port, it still pulled up the old certificate. How can I fully remove this old redundant certificate and replace it with the new one?

Go into the WHM interface and click on Manage Service SSL Certificates. On that page, you can upload a SSL cert for cPanel/WHM/Webmail and other services.

Very strange that "Manage Service SSL Certificates" wouldn't be under TLS/SSL....but I found it.
