exploring drive space, wondered if certain dir are to big

i've been getting the drive space warning email everyday informing me that i'm nearly out of space in /var. i was hoping someone could say whether these amounts are normal or oversized

117M/var/netenberg
12G/var/lib
12G/var/lib/mysql

i also noticed all the db's i have made through cp are in this dir aswell, should they be? can i move them out with ease? what files do i need to update if i were to move the db's to say /home?

also i can't remember how i viewed each partition (want to see how much space is left on each one)

please!
