    Hi everybody,

as the title suggest, is there any possibility to setup an external email server and let it be configured directly by Cpanel?

Let me know if anybody has experienced or try this.
    :D

This would solve me lot of problems.

    Bye
    Max

I have a mailserver set up which, at regular intervals, grabs /etc/localdomains from the cpanel server, checks the MX record for each domain, and if the MX is the mail server, configures itself to relay mail for that domain.

If you do something like this, it is essential that the mailserver do recipient verification, and reject all recipients which are unknown at the cpanel server. If you accept and bounce invalid recipients, you will very quickly get blacklisted.

Email box creation is done in CPanel, as normal.
