external mysql

    Hello,

    I need information...
    I decide to have external mysql server for some users.
    Can i somehow connect this external mysql server via lan network and when user go to cpanel/mysql/phpmyadmin to open tables from that external servers?
    i belive that is very posible, just don`t know where is phpmyadmin config file for each user?

    Root Administrator
    If you use the utility in cPanel/WHM to set up a Remote MySQL server, that should be handled for you. You will just need to move the user databases over to the remote server yourself.

    but i want just some users, not all..

    At this time, cPanel/WHM itself does not natively support remote MySQL for just specific users.

    You could set up a remote server yourself and have your users use that. However, you would sacrifice the ability to use cPanel's database features.
