External SMTP relay server with antispam

Hello, we´re looking to implement an external smtp relay to forward all our outgoing traffic from our cpanel servers.
We need to implement antispam filter in the relay server, we´re are thinking in a solution that detect spam with spamassasin and according to the score relay it, delete it or store it in a review folder for future approval o deletion.

Anyone has done something like this ? Is a complete solution like this or I´ll start coding sripts over exim ?

I've known organizations that use Barracuda for incoming and/or outgoing spam detection:

Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall - Comprehensive Spam and Virus Protection

I believe it's a bit pricey, but I've heard good things about it from the companies that were using it.

Jack, we're looking at doing something similar but haven't yet found anything that would help, yet.

Barracuda / Fortinet / etc are also very good options but can very soon get very expensive, which IMO isn't really an option since we're trying to keep costs down in a shared hosting market.

We're using SpamExperts.com for incoming and outgoing filtering using our own mail cluster servers that are also integrated with cPanel via the API. It works very well but can become quite costly. Let me know if you have any questions
