one of our customers needs to host one of his subdomains to our server using cpanel.

something like this: shop.domain.com (where domain.com is not under our control) should point to our server folder /home/user/shop

from my knowledge this is easily solved with a virtual host in apache configuration.

how this can be done using cpanel ?

    thanks in advance

    Hello :)

You can simply create a cPanel account for:

    shop.domain.com

Then, just ensure the "A" record for shop.domain.com at the DNS provider of domain.com points to the IP address assigned to the cPanel account.

    Thank you.
