    Hi,

    We have two questions;

    1. How can we exclude an account from the backup routine?

    2. We have one big account that is using 30Gb of drive space (photostock) but we only want this account to be backupped once a week without the monthly being created while the other accounts need the daily, weekly, monthly cycle.

How can we tweak the backup system and where can we do this?

    Domenico,
Are you talking about the Home backups that are created each day?

I assume Domenico is talking about the daily backup you can schedule from WHM, and I am interest in excluding a site from the daily as well.

    Anyone know how?

    Hi,
Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way of doing that, but it would be a good idea to request this option to be in future versions of cPanel...

It would be very nice to select which accounts are backed up. That's one of the main reasons I use my own backup script. My celebrity sites are a few GB in size and I don't need them backed up because they are on my hard drive.

Yup, I mean the daily, weekly and montly backups. The problem is dat we have a site on it wich uses more than 20 GB so the first time a daily, weekly and montly backup is made. That's more than 60Gb space in one time.

The best thing is if we could select wich accounts need to be backupped and for every account we want to be backupped we should have a choice what kind of backup is needed.

But for now we settle with a choice of wich accounts need to be backupped and wich don't.

Can we expect this in the near future like today? :)

    So, let's see....
we have 500 accounts. Only 2 need to be disabled for backups, so we should disable all of them, and then setup individual backup crons for 498?

    ok. :)

While we are on a backup subject:

I don't have cPanel installed as of yet (I'm learing about the product first).

    My question is as follows:

My new server (still in the makes) is going to have a RAID-5 config with 3 120GB HDs.

What or how would I back up 120GB?
Also, if a user wants me to restore a single domain, can that be done?
Last, does the cPanel backup covers an entire domain?
I only know Ensim's control panel and it only backups the $HOME diretory. If you place anything out of the $HOME directory, u'r pretty much out of luck in case you need to do a restore. public_html area is not backed up .

    Thanks for you help,

    -Alon.
