Extract the Tar not working

    I am try to Install a custom module mod_remoteip but cannot unarchive the file with the following command. Please let me know, How to fixing the issue?

    Code:
    tar -C /var/cpanel/easy/apache/custom_opt_mods -xvf custom_opt_mod-remoteip.tgz
    or

    Code:
    cd  /var/cpanel/easy/apache/custom_opt_mods/
    wget http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/pub/EasyApache/EasyApacheCustomModules/custom_opt_mod-remoteip.tgz
    tar -zxvf custom_opt_mod-remoteip.tgz
    Getting this error:

    Code:
    gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
    tar: Child returned status 1
    tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
    root@ua [/var/cpanel/easy/apache/custom_opt_mods]#

    I am do try to Install from here: w3facility.org/question/how-to-install-mod_remoteip-easy-apache/

    Fixed, I am manually downloaded and uploaded then now unarchive the file are working.
